San Francisco +10.5 at San Diego:

I’m not going to get carried away on this one, I don’t trust either team and there are better bets to made on Sunday.

The Chargers are getting 79% of point spread player’s action and every “expert” I’ve seen is positive they’ll win. But… It was only 2 weeks ago when Oakland came into San Diego and dominated this team. I’m also not convinced they’ve solved all their special teams problems. The Niner’s have turned things around and played themselves into a big game tonight, problem is… they’ve come up short in every important situation since Singletary has been there. I’m expecting both teams to play well in a hard fought game tonight. Take your 10.5 and hold hold on tight.

Total Tackles & Assists – Kevin Burnett (SD) under 5.5 +100:

At first glance 5.5 is a very low total for a ILB, but there are two major factors working against a big game for Burnett. First, the Niners simply don’t give opposing teams many tackle opportunities and with Gore out there are likely to be even less for the San Diego LBs. Second, Burnett has an injured shoulder. As you might expect, that’s a difficult injury for any LB and he’ll be risking re-injury on every tackle. Its a bit risky but I’ll take a shot on the under.
Total Tackles & Assists – Patrick Willis (SF) over/under 7.5:

I don’t have a play yet but I suspect there could be a big line move before gametime. Jump on the under IF it reaches +120 or higher, if not, leave it alone. Willis is probably the best LB in the NFL, but he’s not racking up big stats right now. Why? The Niners are struggling at safety so bad that Willis is dropping back into coverage on almost every passing situation. San Diego figures to throw a lot and without Gates, Willis is unlikely to get the opportunities to put up a big game. He’s got an injured hand and missed practice time too (don’t get carried away, willis had a broken hand in his rookie year and played with it, making about 25,000 tackles.)
